Ecotricity score 100% renewables contract with Microsoft | CLC signatory Ecotricity have been chosen by Microsoft to power their new Datacenter Region with 100% carbonzero Certified electricity, using only solar, wind and hydro. Not only that, but the NZ datacenter region will be water-free and will instead use air cooling to store data at the right temperature. Congratulations Ecotricity! | | | |

Silver Fern Farms going coal free | Silver Fern Farms is moving closer towards a coal-free future as it begins work on a high-temperature heat pump at its Christchurch plant. The $1.6 million project (co-funded by the government) will scrap the plant's coal boiler and reduce more than 1,500 tonnes of coal a year, which is about 8% of the co-op's total consumption. | | | |
